What is Reiki?
Reiki translates to “universal life force energy.” It is an ancient Japanese spiritual practice in which a practitioner places their hands on or near a person’s body to support the flow of energy. Reiki is based on the belief that a universal life force energy flows through and around all living things. By supporting this energy, Reiki is intended to promote relaxation, a sense of balance, and overall wellbeing. Please note that I am trauma-informed, and hands-on touch is not essential. Sessions are fully adapted for your comfort.
What Should I Expect?
Experiences vary from person to person. Many people notice a deep sense of relaxation, calm, or peace. Some may feel physical sensations such as warmth, coolness, tingling, or lightness. Others may experience visualizations of colours, memories, or even fall asleep. All experiences are normal, as Reiki moves according to what your energy system needs.
Self Care For Reiki
Wear comfortable clothing and stay well hydrated before and after your session. Water is a helpful conduit for energy, and hydration supports your overall wellbeing. You may choose to set an intention for your session, but trust that the Reiki will flow where it is needed for your highest good regardless.
Does distance Reiki really work?
Yes, Reiki healing energy exists beyond space and time allowing me to connect with your energy field regardless of the time, place, or physical distance between us.
What can I expect from a distance Reiki session?
I channel distance Reiki much like I do in person. Using focused intention and visualization, sometimes with a teddy bear or crystal as a focal point, I direct Reiki energy to you using a distance Reiki symbol. Trust that you will receive the Reiki regardless of what you are doing, where you are, or whether you feel it in the moment.
What should I do to receive distance Reiki?
You do not need to do anything to receive distance Reiki. Simply relax and allow yourself to receive.
If possible, finding a quiet space during your session can help you notice the subtle energy more easily, but trust that you will receive regardless.
What else can distance Reiki be used for?
As distance Reiki can be sent to the past, present, or future, it may be offered according to your intentions. Some possibilities include life events, transitions, creative projects, relationships, or parts of yourself such as your inner child. Reiki may also be sent to past experiences with the intention of bringing healing, compassion, and release.
